Job Description:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the skills or ability to learn to shear, drill, sand, and to fabricate and machine metal parts. 

Full-time, part time, and second shift available

  • Shear parts using hand or hydraulic shear
  • Punch or drill holes
  • Corner radius parts
  • Sand and deburr
  • Apply adhesive using lamination equipment
  • Training provided to learn to program and operate a computerized sabre, and laser

  • Other shop duties as required.

Job Description:

Operators are cross trained in six different phases of the metal preparation process and the position offers an opportunity to demonstrate and learn valuable skills both individually and in a team environment.

Title: Facilities Technician

Responsibilities:

Perform routine custodial duties for outdoor grounds and interior of facility on a scheduled, rotational basis, including following a checklist of activities

Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication

Carry equipment (tools, radio) and assist Facilities Supervisor to perform basic carpentry and finish skills, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment and the facility
Assist with job preparation including preparing for painting, minor drywall repair, wood trim repair, light bulb replacements, HVAC filter replacement and assist with clean up of areas, as needed

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Pack, weigh, and label completed items for shipment or storage
  • Follow all company guidelines regarding packaging
  • Identify and dispose of defective items
  • Properly use packaging materials, including hand tools, glues, nails, padding, etc.
  • Keep complete records of all materials that go through the warehouse
  • Maintain a clean work area.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/ GED

  • Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

CNC Laser Operator Job Description

PMA Industries is a leading manufacturer in the US providing quality metal parts for customers since 1982.  PMA is the largest chemical metal etching company in North America providing products and services both domestically and internationally. We currently have multiple divisions covering the following core areas: etched metal parts and craft related tools and supplies for crafts and creative industries (paper crafts, mixed media arts, DIY home, sewing, quilting and soft arts), private label arts and crafts products, commercial signage, and aerospace and equipment specialized parts and plates.

PMA is currently in need of a highly motivated CNC Laser Operator to assist with continued growth in its commercial division, Photometals.  This is a key position on our team and an opportunity to grow and excel – and providing excellent career growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

Must be familiar, comfortable, and experienced with laser operations using oxygen and nitrogen.

Produce metal parts to customer specifications using laser equipment (Amada, Boss, others).  Required to set and program laser equipment for specific custom jobs.  Experience working with a variety of computer file types would be helpful.

Experience operating sabre/router equipment for metal preparation, working and finishing.  Additional experience in using hand and powered sanders, shears, and other related metalworking/metal finishing operations is helpful.

Other shop duties, as required.

Responsibilities:

· Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; understanding technical quotations and capable of communicating with customers

· Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history, proactively contacting existing customers to ensure timely re-orders are handled accurately and timely

· Uses in-person meetings, telephone and email to remain in contact with prospective and existing customers

· Provides weekly reports on sales contacts and reviews forecast to ensure goals are being met

· Printing packaging media and paper packs for incoming jobs on Xerox V180 and V280 equipment

· Cutting print media to size on Formax Guillotine Trimmer & Aerocut Cutter when necessary

· Perform quality checks of printing jobs before delivering to packaging and shipping departments

· Maintain a daily printing job log with updates on incoming, open, and completed jobs

· Other duties as defined by supervisor
